Welcome to the cheshire township website

Cheshire Township was founded in 1851. The township received its first postmaster, a gentleman named Jonathon Howard shortly following the opening of the township's first post office on March 8th of 1856. The office closed March 6th of 1879 and was reopened from June 20th, 1879 until July 30th, 1905.
