About Us
Founding of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.
Our gothic revival church edifice was designed by noted church architect Gordon W. Lloyd of Detroit. Construction of the building was begun in 1866 and the church was first used for devine service on Palm Sunday March 21st, 1869. The board and batton stucture contains magnificent stained glass windows, pews of english butternut, a rare tracker action pipe organ and many lovely memorial furnishings.
